Akinbanji Osanyemi

I am Akinbanji Osanyemi (bn.1989). I hold a BSc. In Economics from Joseph Ayo Babalola University, Osun State, Nigeria and I am an ambitious self-taught visual artist who hails from Ondo state. Early in my life. I had discovered my ability to observe things clearly and equally represent them on planes. This subconsciously had a major influence on my choice of style which the general art world terms “Realism’. Then much more later growing up I began commissioning portraits as a way to learn and evolve technically in shading and in understanding proportion and balance. My art style is majorly described as ‘Abstract Realism’ amongst other forms of mixed media art which I have adopted over the years. I currently reside in Lagos State, Nigeria while making short and long term efforts to stay relevant, create and evolve my expressions around the contemporary context.
