I am Natalie Fay and i was born and raised in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. My art journey started at a young age as I was always found with a crayon, coloured pens or some time of medium in my hands ready to express my creativity.
My parents and teachers noticed a quick growing talent which lead to much Art awards throughout my schooling career. I chose to further my studies at the Centre for Fine art animation and design (CFAD) college back in 2013-2014.
Those years allowed me to grow as a creator, artist and student. During my years at CFAD I appeared on television for the annual fashion show event that showcased our garments made of recycled materials. I also had my art displayed at the Durban Art Gallery, as well as recieved certificates of exceptional work in various subjects.
After college I started selling portrait sketches online which brought me much business. I knew this was not a deep passion and my heart for art was barely scraping the surface. After a few years, my desire for painting stirred up again and I started to create meaningful paintings that spoke to viewers in a way that I’ve never expressed before.
I am a storyteller, sometimes I lean towards creating art that has a message within a message which provokes emotion, thought and wonder to the people who are looking to find something deeper.
Whether it’s crafting a stunning makeup look, producing a thought-provoking piece of art, or building meaningful online connections, my goal is always to inspire, educate, and leave a lasting impression.
