Pro Thusi

I am Pro Thusi, an international contemporary artist from Johannesburg, South Africa. I was born on March 10, 1987 and have been bringing art to life since the tender age of 8 and have been putting my heart and soul onto the canvas ever since. My career has progressed from sketch artist, to acrylic paint and now i am a master recycled material artist.

My most prevalent medium is “Recycle Art” where i use tin cans, discarded single-use plastic bags and a variety of other solid waste materials along with a glass blow torch, heat gun and soldering iron to create one-of-a-kind, environmentally friendly, masterpieces that many collectors have added to their personal galleries. My unique, life-like portraits captivate, truly turning ‘rubbish’ into a priceless treasure.
