People with psychosis experience hallucinations that involve hearing, seeing, touch and/or smell as well as delirium and paranoia. This can leave an individual feeling lost, hopeless, socially withdrawn and having an altered sense of reality.
Individuals with psychosis are often stigmatized in society as crazy, dangerous – inhumane. My hopes with this artwork is to give an audience a look into how psychosis feels and is experienced, so that people are able to understand psychosis better and realize these individuals are still human beings that have the right to help and support from the community.
