An immersive 2 day visual arts experience that will highlight seven art buildings, across the historical CBD and beyond, where visitors will be invited to meet the artists, interact with the works, and enjoy a programme of exhibitions, walkabouts, performance and design.
The sites are August House, Bag Factory Artists’ Studios, Ellis House, Living Artists Emporium, LAPA at Breezeblock, Transwerke Studios and Victoria Yards.
The studios will be linked via a free shuttle service that will allow visitors to safely explore the city. Three shuttles will move in a loop between the buildings, with transport available every 15 minutes. Access to all events is FREE, but visitors must register on Saturday 28 May or Sunday 29 May for their free tickets. The tickets permit shuttle access.
THE OFFICIAL OPEN STUDIO AFTER PARTY – Will be on Sun May 29 and taking place from 15:00 to 21:00 on a hidden rooftop in the middle of Judith’s Paarl (east of Victoria Yards) that is not ordinarily open to the public, the party features DJs Castro and MamaZap, street food stalls and drinks and cool city views. Tickets for the after party cost R100 online and R130 at the door.
