My name is Alphonsus Eligbue, I am an African Visual Artist. As a child growing up in the south-south region of Nigeria. I always harboured dreams of becoming an artist who could spread positivity through my work .However that became a challenge as I often had limited access to art supplies. Nevertheless, I decided to think out side the box and utilised whatever resources were available to me, fostering innovation in my artistic environment. Admittedly, it was frustrating when art materials were scarce and it took time to know where to start.
Eventually I began replicating images and taking my photographs, which served as templates for my art-pieces. This continued until i found my own preferred technique-using charcoal and paint on paper to create diagrams and figures. Finally, I decided to bring these images to life.
