My name is Chinedu Bright Ezeh, and I am a Nigerian-born artist whose creative journey began in childhood. As a young boy, I discovered my talent for drawing and my innate ability to fix things. This early fascination with creating and exploring forms laid the foundation for my artistic path.
I received formal training at the University of Nigeria, where I honed my skills and developed my artistic voice. Today, I practice art full-time from my studio in Abuja, Nigeria. My work focuses on realistic paintings of figures, often set against subtle landscapes and beautiful backgrounds. Through my art, I aim to capture the beauty, essence, strength, cultural values, and beliefs that define people’s lives.
I primarily work with oil colours, acrylic, and mixed media, blending these techniques to create evocative compositions. My portraiture is particularly distinctive, with a strong emphasis on detail to capture the soul and engage the viewer emotionally.
My work has been widely exhibited, and I have undertaken significant commissions in Nigeria, the United States, South Africa, and other countries. I am proud to be a member of the Society of Nigerian Artists, a community that continues to inspire and support my creative endeavours.
To me, art is life. It is a medium that reflects the beauty and complexity of our everyday experiences. Whether through vibrant colours, intricate details, or powerful narratives, my art seeks to connect with people on a deeper level.
Beyond my artistic practice, I enjoy painting, reading, and watching animations, which fuel my imagination and enrich my creative perspective.
Through my work, I aim to celebrate culture, evoke emotions, and inspire others to see the world in a new light.
