My name is Olajide Kuti, born on October 1, 1991, in Lagos, Nigeria. I am a visual artist who expresses my thoughts, emotions, and reflections through painting. I love to paint my mind and feelings towards various subject matters, with a deep focus on exploring human existence and the struggles we face.
I hold a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Visual Art from Yaba College of Technology, Lagos, which I completed in 2016. Since then, my journey as an artist has been one of continuous exploration and self-discovery. I have experimented with various mediums, techniques, and styles, constantly evolving to find new ways to communicate my emotions and experiences.
My work predominantly revolves around themes of human struggles, which I often express through depictions of children, women, and at times, abstract forms. I aim to capture the complexities of life and the emotional depth of human existence, reflecting on both the challenges and the beauty that comes with them.
In 2024, I had the opportunity to participate in the international online exhibition “Light at the End of the Tunnel” on Artsy, which was a significant milestone in my artistic journey. I continue to explore new ideas and push my creative boundaries, always seeking to create art that resonates with the viewer on a deeper level.
Through my work, I hope to spark reflection and conversation about the human condition, and to share the stories and emotions that shape us all.
